[[A liitle about him]]Viv's full official name is Vivian Alexander Anderson and he was born on the 29th of July 1956 in Clifton, Nottingham.

The story begins with this....
[[His neglected talent found....]] Vivian Anderson's first step into football success was when he had joined Notttingham Forest Football Club in 1974. His football league debut was against Sheffield Wednesday when he was 18 years old and Nottingham Forest won 3-2. From that point on he was a regular starter in Brian Clough's dominant Forest side.
[[What he suffered from]]As a child, Anderson was a Manchester United fan growing up, not knowing he was going to be playing for them. At the age of 15, Manchester United had discovered his amazing ability of football and invited him for a trial, however Anderson wanted to complete his education before going into a full time career. Then he was rejected after once finishing his school career.

[[Try Again to Get into Football]]Devestated by his rejection by favourite team Manchester United, he returned to normal life at a local printer and had almsot lost faith in his football life until...
[[The Turning Point]]Viv didn't try to get into football agian, he just got a job at the local printer......
This is the correct option: [[Be Sad and Get a Job at a Local Printer]] Nottingham Forest had given him another chance by recruiting him as a scout and let him have a chance to prove himself. Anderson had played 400 games for Forest and he had helped Nottingham Forest (treehuggers) to succeed in winning the European Cup back to back. On top of that he played for England in the World Cup, as the first black footballer to play for England. He made his world cup debut in the 1982 qualifiers where England were victorious 4-0 over Norway!
[[Journey to success]]In Forest, Viv Anderson did encounter racism, even after he was voted the best right-back in Nottingham Forest; he was playing in the 70's in which racism was popular. He often had to deal with racism, this included people saying racist names and throwing bananas, apples and pears at him. When Nottingham Forest were playing Carlisle United, this incident occured and Viv was currently warming up on the sidelines, so he ran back to sit down but was stopped by boss Brian Clough, who told him to fetch him 2 pears and a banana which still makes him laugh today.

[[Annoyed and wanting to exit football]]Viv Anderson went on to play for Sheffield Wednesday, Arsenal and Manchester United,the club he was turned down by, but also his favorite club. He was brought to Manchester United by Sir Alex Ferguson, which was the first signing he made at United during his successful 26 year reign. [[After The Forest Life]] Viv Anderson left Nottingham Forest as a 2 time European cup winner and being the first iconic black footballer for England which he retired in 1988. In 1984 Viv signed for Arsenal F.C, in which he played amongst the likes of Martin Keown and Tony Adams. He played for Arsenal for 3 years.

[[Retire as a well known black footballer]]He joined Manchester United for £250,000 in 1987 and was Sir Alex Fergusons first signing on journey to success played for a successful 4 years until...
[[4th Club]]He then went on join Sheffield to Wednesday (for some reason) on a free transfer in January 1991. He helped them win promotion back from the second division, playing in big games against big teams.
[[What should he do now?]]After football, Viv went on to manage Barnsley and Assistant Manager at Middlesborugh. After these two management roles, he never went in to a different job and remained self-employed. He also runs a campaign to stop racism in our cruel world.
[[HIS AWARDS!!!!]]In 1997 he was voted Nottingham Forests best Right-Back with a stunning 96% of the votes.
In 2000 he was awarded a MBE.

[[The Moral of Viv Anderson's career]]Viv Anderson had come a long way to success but it did not come easy. He faced racism and unjust acts towards him. The important thing to remember is that you perservere, as Viv did, and don't listen to people trying to knock you down from the way of success and life. Just keep calm and VIV on.
